Summary of Position

As a Senior Analyst, Compensation, you will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing, compensation programs and strategies to attract, retain, and motivate employees. You will work closely with the HR Business partners, management, and various departments to ensure that the compensation structure aligns with the organization's goals and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, analytical skills and a good understanding of compensation principles, and the ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.

This remote role can be based anywhere in the U.S., ideally in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compensation Strategy: Conduct comprehensive analyses of compensation trends, including salary benchmarking, incentive structures, to ensure competitiveness within the industry and compliance with legal requirements.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct job evaluations and market pricing assessments to determine appropriate compensation levels for new and existing positions, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.

  • Salary Surveys and Market Data: Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data, including salary surveys, market data, and internal pay records. Utilize HRIS and other systems to track and analyze compensation-related metrics.

  • Annual Compensation Cycle: Support in the administration of the annual compensation cycle by having a thorough understanding of the working of the comp module in the HRIS system

  • Compensation Tools: Have a passion for building automated tools that help business partners and recruitment teams to make informed compensation decisions.

  • Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to HR business partners, managers, and employees on compensation-related matters.

  • Job Architecture: Strong understanding of Job Architecture and has a passion to implement across the organization in partnership with the HR business partners

  • Compliance & Governance: Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and ensure that all compensation practices adhere to legal requirements, including fair labor standards and pay equity laws.

  • Projects: Participate in special projects related to compensation, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring initiatives, or system implementations, as needed. Create and support development of compensation communication and training materials.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.

  • 6+ years of experience in compensation analysis, design, and administration, in a corporate environment.

  • Proficiency in compensation analysis tools and HRIS systems (e.g. Radford, Mercer) and Excel.

  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, including salary structures, market pricing, and incentive plan design.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make actionable recommendations.

  • Working knowledge of Workday.

  • Experience with Payfactors.
