Claims Specialist (Entry Level) - Roofing Industry*

We are seeking a Claims Specialist for our Insurance Department to work with Bone Dry Roofing clients and facilitate the filing of insurance claims for damage to their roofs.
You will be responsible for navigating the insurance process on behalf of our clients and providing peace of mind by ensuring that claims are processed efficiently and accurately while working closely with our sales and production teams to ensure that roofing repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Experience in the construction /roofing industry along with an insurance claims processing background is a plus. This position is full time on site at our Indianapolis office.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with Bone Dry Sales Representatives and clients to assess and determine damage to clients’ roofs and the need to file an insurance claim 
• Prepare comprehensive cost assessments using collected measurements and photos to establish a mutually agreed scope of work with the insurance provider. 
• Assist and advise sales team for each particular claim
• Advise clients on the insurance claims process and keep them informed
• Communicate with insurance adjusters on behalf of clients to ensure accurate assessment of damage and appropriate payment for repairs
• Follow up with insurance companies to ensure timely payment of claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise
• Invoice insurance carriers and follow up for payments while keeping company stakeholders up to date
• Keep detailed records of all insurance claims and maintain accurate documentation of all communications with clients, insurance companies, and production team
• Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and policies that may impact the claims process
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders
• Be able to learn and navigate multiple technology platforms to perform daily tasks

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to train! Experience in insurance claims processing or related field helpful but will train.
• Roofing or construction knowledge a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and policies related to roofing damage claims
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
• Valid Driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits

• $21/hourly pay rate and also eligible for commission plan after fully trained to supplement independently (Commission plan range of .06% to 2% commission on approved supplements + $50 adjuster meeting)
