The Security Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the complete functionality of security headquarters and all its components. Although not a complete list some of the major functions and components overseen in this role are, the camera system, two-way radio system, access control system, all security related software, as well as the management of the dispatch center and all its components. General maintenance of the building as well as ultimate responsibility for all equipment housed in security headquarters will fall under the leadership of this role. This role will also support and manage security and transportation shifts as well as oversee all shuttle drivers with the support of an Assistant Manager of Transportation.

This role receives and evaluates work orders and requests, investigates, and troubleshoots problems where appropriate. This role provides subject matter expertise related to all security systems. In addition, this role manages the work of outside contractors to make sure all work meets requirements and applicable codes. This role is also responsible for general maintenance of the fleet of vehicles assigned to the security and transportation department working in conjunction with the Senior Fleet Manager. The role also manages with the assistance of a Transportation Assistant manager all shuttle bus drivers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS:

1. OUR PEOPLE

 • This position will be responsible for the overall training for all department personnel with regards to all the systems in the department to include CCTV, Salesforce, Asgard, VING key system and all other security and life safety systems.

2. GUEST EXPERIENCE

• Assists with all guests related issues that deal directly with activities or events managed thru security headquarters.
• Confirms all the following directly or thru the assigned Shuttle Assistant Manager: daily pre-shift meetings with the shuttle drivers as well as consistent communication or when needed communication to ensure best practices are being followed.
• Provide all pertinent information to shuttle bus drivers to ensure the best guest experience.

3.  RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

• Assists in implementing, evaluating, maintaining, and improving all systems and programs related to the security headquarters building. This includes working with the IT Department to ensure all software and licensing are up to date.
• Responsible for inventory and maintenance of all security equipment as well as ordering of any needed equipment to ensure the safety and security of the resort and all human life.
• Responsible for mitigating loss and wear of equipment and resources thru preventative maintenance, training, and investigation (Post Incident).
• Responsible for the management of all vendors that support all systems in the security department. Vendors may include but are not limited, to CCTV, property lock system, guard patrol system, visitor management system, two-way radio system. and the key control system.
• May at times need to support operations by managing a security shift or shifts during a specified time period or assisting with an incident that calls for additional support.

4. FINANCIAL RETURNS

• Operates department successfully within budgetary guidelines and assists in the development of departmental budgets and allocation of resources to meet financial goals.
• Participates and assists in the preparation of annual capital budget process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, prevent and solve complex problems in a fast paced setting.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. Driving record must qualify to drive company owned vehicles.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED. College degree (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in resort/hotel or retail security environment dealing with systems to include CCTV, Incident reporting, RFID locks, as well as fire and life safety systems. (required).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid FL Driver’s license with at least four (4) years of driving experience irrespective of age; no Type A vi
