About the role

  • Perform 2nd party audits for retail clients
  • Manages own work plans for the completion of audits within a determined timeframe, including schedule and workload
  • Summarize audit findings

  • Conduct shadow, witness audit, and sign off audit functions for Retail audit clients
  • Complete audit report and other customer requested information collection
  • Taking Food/Water/Ice/Surface Swab samples as requested and/or help to deliver/receive samples as requested
  • Summarize audit findings - report writing
  • Communicates effectively with clients and account managers
  • 5+ years experience (audit, rest., or grocery)
  • With direction from Audit Delivery Manager, provide in house and field training/calibration for Retail auditors to Audit Delivery team expectations and metrics, including onboarding new auditors and reporting findings to management.
  • Conduct peer evaluations for both full-time employees and contract auditors, as required.
  • Summarize and create technical reports of audit findings.
  • Assist management in developing training plans for auditors specific to audit scheme scopes.
  • Assist management and IT with developing software projects specific to auditors.
  • Assist with Retail Auditor Meeting Topics/Presentations. 
  • Conduct monitoring and initial inspections for Retail clients within a specific territory.
  • Monitor and report client needs, service delivery issues, and competitive threats to management team.
  • Consistently interpret NSF and Client Standards and Policies guidelines.
  • Collect samples from client sites and prepare them for shipment to appropriate laboratories for testing.
  • Support NSF’s business units by assisting clients in the identification of additional NSF services that may be beneficial.
  • Develop effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits within a determined timeframe.                                       
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with program representatives and project managers as it relates to assigned clients.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental Health, natural sciences, or other related field or an Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in food safety
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience as an auditor preferably related to NSF Standards.
  • Successful experience leading and training others.
  • Knowledge of NSF standards, Client Policies, and applicable extraneous standards.
  • Capability to perform frequent and overnight travel, 75% or more, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook, PDF Software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid Driver’s license.

Salary Range - $60,555-$78,757
