JOB SUMMARY
Reports to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education and to the Vice Provost for Education. Serves as the leader in the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education responsible for the clinical phase of the medical student curriculum. Works closely with the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education, UT Southwestern clerkship directors, other clinical rotations, and education administration and staff across all schools and programs that implement or manage the medical student curriculum. Provides expertise required to maintain LCME accreditation. Oversees the collection and management of data required for monitoring and improvement of the quality of clinical rotations, Chairs the Clerkship Subcommittee of the Medical Education and Curriculum Committee. Collaborates with all medical school components and partners including the Office of Student Affairs, Academic Colleges, Simulation Center, Curricular Thread Directors, GME Faculty and Learners to bring innovative approaches to teaching into the curriculum.
