Overview

Ticket Operations Manager will provide strategic knowledge and leadership for all properties, staff, and products from a central location at Rupp Arena. Assume the role as a point of contact for administration of each venue’s manifest, inventory, building of events, pricing, invoicing, online sales & fulfillment, and reporting. As a team member of the Ticket Operations department, ensure that the ticketing system is functioning for property needs for events, tickets, pricing, access control, online features, and reporting. Work with the director of Ticketing to appropriately hire, coach, and develop staff.

 

 

This role will pay a salary of $77,500 to $97,000.

Lexington is an active and thriving market craving an active and welcoming venue for events. The heart of any thriving community is its downtown—and Lexington Center and the historic Rupp Arena are truly the heart of downtown Lexington and one of the most widely-recognized entertainment venues in North America. Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, is fast becoming THE must-play venue. The 20,000-seat arena, affectionately referred to by some as “the Cathedral of College Basketball”, is home to the National Champion University of Kentucky men’s basketball program and has played host to some of the most talented and award-winning musicians/artists in the world, including U2, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, and many others. Central Bank Center is our convention side, with over 99k sf of exhibition space, 24k sf each of meeting and ballroom space, 50k of hospitality space, 10k sf of flexible space, and over 2500 covered and uncovered parking spaces. Both venues are additionally joined in entertaining this area by the Lexington Opera House, showcasing Broadway talent through collaborative bookings of Broadway shows, small venue concerts, and local arts.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Director to improve and maintain department efficiency, excellent communication and patron experience.
  • Coordinate all event information between the promoter, facility personnel and the ticket company in a timely manner to ensure an accurate ticket build for all ticketed events with primary focus on the arena.
  • Work with event promoters and appropriate personnel to establish ticket pricing, scaling and seating configurations with primary focus on the arena.
  • Establish and maintain positive, effective, collaborative working relationships with external and internal personnel.
  • Manage event creation, inventory control, and reporting. This includes event builds on the Ticketmaster system; programming, spec sheets, and 3rd party communications with primary focus on the arena.
  • Establish event files that correctly document how the show was built, with all of the event build details as well as any requested changes to the event over the life of the event with primary focus on the arena.
  • Pay close attention to upcoming events with high/low sales volume, adjusting allotments to maximize availability and/or profit with primary focus on the arena.
  • Act as the on-site Box Office representative on the day of events for all production changes, artist/promoter/VIP program needs, and all other box office related responsibilities including participating in the event settlement process with primary focus on the arena.
  • On arena event nights, settle all box office activity with a prepared and complete box office statement as well
