The role

Analysts play a critical role, contributing significantly to the success of our team and overall business. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on multiple client engagements simultaneously, providing you with extensive exposure and ample learning opportunities. As an Analyst, your key responsibilities will include collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality ESG consulting services to clients. This entails conducting in-depth research and data analysis on various aspects, such as ESG best practices, metrics, sustainability policies, and compliance requirements.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for conducting ESG due diligence for investor clients, reviewing and offering insights on ESG considerations in internal investment memorandums, and conducting materiality assessments, focusing on both financial and impact materiality. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing perspectives on clients' preparedness for compliance with policies and regulations, and advising them on optimizing strategies, processes, and governance structures for ongoing compliance.


Additionally, this role involves assisting in the formulation of ESG-integrated and impact investing strategies for investment funds, as well as contributing to the drafting and reviewing of sustainability reports and other disclosure requirements for clients. You will actively participate in preparing client proposals and thought leadership materials, and engage in business development activities.

As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to attend regular client meetings, preparing reports and presentations on key ESG-related trends and developments, and presenting them to both clients and our internal team. Furthermore, you will have the chance to support other practice areas within the dss+ Sustainability group.

Requirements

Who are you?

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sustainability, International Relations, Economics, or Engineering, with a preference for a Master's degree. Ideally, your work experience should focus on sustainability policies, sustainable finance, or corporate sustainability within a consulting firm.

Familiarity with various regulations, standards, frameworks, and initiatives, such as the EU Taxonomy, CSRD, SFDR, SASB, GRI, TCFD, and the PRI, will be necessary in this role.


Your interpersonal and organizational skills are excellent, and you approach tasks with a positive attitude. Time management is one of your strengths, and you pay close attention to detail, ensuring that you deliver client-oriented results efficiently.

Your writing skills are excellent and concise, and you take pride in being a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic. Your research and data analysis competencies have been honed over time.


Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is expected, and you have a reasonably good understanding of capital markets, financial statements, and the EU Policy decision-making process. Moreover, you are well-informed about the current sustainability policy and reporting landscape.


Additional language skills are a plus and fluency in French would be considered a great asset. The position allows for flexibility in work arrangements, and you can be based in the UK, Switzerland or Portugal.
