Please Note: 

This position will include supporting our US Federal customers. This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards).  

This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening.

Security Data Platform Engineering is looking for a Staff Security Data Engineer. This role will focus on managing the machine data collection platform, logging integrations, and user support.  

What you get to do in this role:  

  • Ensure the Splunk environment meets specifications in terms of business requirements, application design, and infrastructure performance. 

  • Build relationships throughout the enterprise to bring internal business stakeholders and their data into Splunk. Provide coaching and mentorship to technology teams to enable their use of Splunk to satisfy their business goals. 

  • Share responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the Splunk infrastructure and configuration. 

  • Guide users on data on-boarding as part of engagement projects. 

  • Mentor other Security team members to develop their Splunk knowledge. 

  • Work with key stakeholders on developing use cases and knowledge objects to be implemented in Splunk. 

  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has:  

  • 8+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Splunk architecture.  

  • Splunk administration and/or architecture certification highly desirable. <
