As a LOB Risk Lead – Retail Basel Capital, you will be you will be within PNC’s Risk, Change, Experience & Strategy (RCES) organization, supporting the Capital Management Team.This position will be responsible for the performance of Basel regulatory capital requirements for the retail asset class. Primary responsibilities will include data analysis, quarterly reporting, certification support, control performance, data quality, and program documentation. Successful candidates will be expected to utilize data techniques to perform analysis to ensure appropriate categorization, evaluate results, and articulate impacts. The candidate will also lead the recovery & resolution planning program for Retail Banking, including data collection, analysis, certification process, and coordination of multiple workstreams to achieve regulatory requirements. This role partners primarily with finance, lines of business, merger & acquisition team, and data governance. Preferred qualifications of the position include but are not limited to the following:
• Strong understanding of Retail Banking business segments, processes, and products
• Ability to extract, manipulate, and present data analysis (strong Excel skills at minimum)
• Foundational knowledge of internal Retail Banking source systems capturing credit data elements and financial reporting tools
• Understanding of bank financial statements, banking products, credit risk, and financial analysis
• Experience managing multiple/complex projects
• Regulatory reporting experience a plus
Job Description
- Establishes Line of Business risk management strategy and oversees the execution of the risk management programs. Serves as an advocate for the risk management program.
- Ensures the risk management strategies and programs are established, maintained and enhanced to support the businesses in managing their risks while meeting business and regulatory expectations.
- Oversees the timely and proper execution of the risk management program within and/or across the lines of business. Includes consultation to execute the program components.
- Provides risk expertise while working with the businesses and other risk partners (e.g., Compliance, Credit, Legal, Audit). Monitors changes in internal and external factors and identifies emerging risks.
- Leads and engages cross functional teams and develops internal capabilities.
