Job Description
About the Role:
The Assoc Dir, Post Deployment Development will work with members within the Operations team and collaborate cross-functionally with members from various departments including technology development, quality, bioinformatics, automation clinical development, and operations. The position will lead a team to perform project planning, Continuous improvement activities, maintaining timelines, and supporting operations activities. They will drive changes to improve and support operations and establish additional capabilities such as improved lab workflows, assembly methods, Turn-Around-Time, improve customer experience, cost reduction, cost management, etc. The position is dedicated to business process reengineering to enable the routine delivery of exceptional business process performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs operational modeling to project growth, including new product launches, and process optimization.
- Determine and implement the most effective ways to create and execute improvement plans for Guardant Health’s screening product.
- Support a Quality first culture by initiating and supporting the improvement and continuation of initiatives driving accuracy and consistent adherence to regulations.
- Drives continuous improvement within Screening Operations to reduce test turnaround time, analyze & reduce COGS, and improve product quality.
- Executes the continuous improvement strategy and aligns with current operational activities.
- Has a ‘change-agent’ mindset.
- Assist in setting meaningful KPIs and measurement of actual performance against productivity standards.
- Develop and implement controls and/or metric monitoring capabilities to identify potential issues/trends as they occur.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Qualifications
- Requires a BS degree in Engineering, Biochemistry or a related discipline
- Must have 8+ years in Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry with experience in business analysis and project realization for Operations Workflows.
- Must have 8+ years of experience in an Operational Excellence, Business Excellence, Process management, or Process Engineering role.
- Leads teams or individuals on project work, to help clients and operators achieve sustainable results
- Influences others to implement new solutions.
- Ability to interact with multiple layers of the organization.
- Experience in developing organizational metrics and visual management systems for key performance indicators.
- Highly skilled in visualization tools, SharePoint, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project).
- Leads the design of cutting-edge approaches and solutions utilizing broad knowledge, best practices, and benchmarking.
- Manages projects and program execution
- Understands the organization, customer needs, and the reasons behind special practices; articulates linkage between business goals and process behind organization practices.
- Works with enterprise business units at the operational and corporate level to drive process improvements, identifying compliance to customer service standards and strategies for consistent, repeatable execution

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time.
