About the role

ICF is hiring a Seasonal Associate, Business Development and Capture, for ongoing, part-time support to its Federal Enterprise Accounts and capture (FEAC) team. You will work on multiple projects and interact with the company’s account and capture leaders targeting the federal professional services and digital modernization market. This associate position with ICF is a great opportunity to jump-start your career in government contracting and consulting. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with an analytical ability and curious mind who is interested in learning on the job. 

Under the supervision of the VP and other FEAC leaders, you will be responsible for leading key tasks and assisting FEAC capture and account leaders by collecting data, quantitatively and qualitatively analyzing data, and disseminating information through reports and projects. You will apply your academic knowledge and gain exposure to major projects that crosscut all of ICF’s capabilities in public health, health science, digital modernization and transformation, data analytics, and many others. Your most important contribution will be helping to actively support the planning and implementation of strategies that to enable public sector growth at ICF.

This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week) and is ongoing based on business needs (but is expected to be at least one year). Work may be completed remotely from any U.S. location, or hybrid from our Reston, VA. headquarters. At this time, relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

Capture Support:

  • Support capture leaders with developing materials for Capture Kickoff and ongoing capture meetings 

  • Document key discussion points and action items from weekly capture meetings to distribute to capture team 

  • Assist with tracking and reporting on progress of capture activities and priority opportunities

  • Support capture budget tracking and reporting 

Research, Analysis, and Coordination:

  • Work with Account and Capture Leaders to support detailed analysis, coordination, and enablement efforts to identify, qualify and advance high priority deals 

  • Conduct account and opportunity related market research, customer call planning, competitive analysis, and market intelligence; summarize and brief out results 

  • Support Bid Team Development through analysis of potential teaming partners, developing and disseminating capability assessments, and documenting teammate capabilities

  • Coordinate and collaborate with market research, growth, account, business, operations, and back-office team to perform duties, as needed 

  • Support with scheduling and coordinating meetings as necessary

  • Assist FEAC leaders on special projects as necessary 

Reporting and Knowledge Management:

  • Assist with developing briefing materials for an executive audience to provide status of deals in capture 

  • Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, progress reports, data calls, metrics, and briefings related to priority opportunities 

  • Assist with Teams and SharePoint site knowledge management 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an anticipated graduation of December 2024 or later.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong PowerPoint development skills with proven ability to track and present data in easy-to-understand ways

  • Proven self-starter who can jump right in and produce results with a willingness to learn new ways of working

  • Previous practical experience with data analytics

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and analyzing large scale data sets

  • Ability to learn and quickly master extracting the relevant data from various federal databases

  • Ability to be flexible and multi-task, completing shorter research asks while maintaining a long-term process improvement project
