We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist and/or Clinical Manager at our Wyomissing, PA patient care clinic. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Prosthetist Orthotist:

  • Deliver quality prosthetics, orthotics, and professional services in relation to patient care.
  • Assist with fabrication as may be needed to assure, quality, fit function, timely delivery, or responsiveness to individual patient need.
  • Evaluate prosthetic/orthotic on patient, adjust to assure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work and perform outcome measures as appropriate.
  • Post-delivery service and adjustments for assigned patients.
  • Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities.
  • Maintenance of all patient charts and records of care and service, current and complete each day.
  • Training of Technicians, Apprentices, Fitters, and/or other Practitioners, as appropriate.
  • Develop a referral and client base that will profitably contribute to the practice's capabilities to better serve patients, referral sources and employees.
  • Market the organization's professional services, through the development of strong professional relationships with physicians, therapists, patients, and other referral sources.
  • Achieve and maintain professional knowledge and technical skills required to perform all other primary responsibilities. This specifically includes, current "state of the art" knowledge, procedures, components, and materials including application based on diagnosis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Clinical Manager performs above and:

  • Manages clinical operations and clinical staff at assigned patient care facility. Clinical staff includes clinicians, technicians, and fitters.  
  • Collaborates with clinicians in the evaluation and analysis of a patient’s need for prosthetic and/or orthotic services; recommend treatment options to clinicians when necessary. 
  • Meets with physicians, case managers and other referral sources to review services and capabilities; develop and enhance business relationships to identify and secure ongoing and future sources or referrals. 
  • ​Provides complete and accurate direction and guidance to technicians responsible for fabrication of orthoses and/or prosthesis for his/her patients. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. 
  • ​Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; Assist in preparing an annual budget. 
  • ​Identifies and creates improvements to processes to promote efficiency and productivity. This specifically includes current "state of the art" knowledge, procedures, components, and materials including application based on diagnosis. 
  • ​Helps ensure offices are ABC/Medicare/Labor Compliant and assist with accreditation, as necessary.  
  • ​Complies with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA requirements. 
  • ​Enforces all safety regulations; Compliance with Medicare and other governmental regulations; Compliance with bloodborne and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.​
