Future Salary Increases:

The starting salary for this position will be based on the candidate’s qualifications at time of appointment.

As a Child Support Program Attorney I, you will handle routine cases and court appearances relating to child support and parentage, and perform legal research and writing.

Hiring Timeline & Dates

The timeline for this recruitment is outlined below. 

  • Job Offer and Background Process begins shortly after the interviews conclude.
  • Pre-employment Medical Screening: Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results.
  • Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar of California at the time of application. 
Note: A valid California Class C driver's license, which must be maintained throughout employment in this class, is required at the time of appointment, or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for field travel.  Employees in this class may be required to use their own vehicle.
