SIU Team Lead

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To supervise a team of investigators and manage investigation assignments within a specified region; to implement investigative strategy and provide tactical/jurisdictional direction to investigators.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises a team of investigators to ensure quality and timely handling of assignments.
  • Monitors colleagues' workload, productivity and training needs.
  • Identifies red flag indicators and recommends additional investigative services when appropriate.
  • Advises management of trends and issues with recommended course of action.
  • Performs quality review to ensure assignment objectives are met and in compliance with quality standards and client protocol.
  • Maintains contact with the claims team.

 ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
  • Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
  • Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Licenses as required.

Experience

Six (6) years investigative industry experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of claims investigation processes for multiple product lines

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
