Summary
We are currently looking for a Pricing Analyst in our Tantalum Business Unit at our Simpsonville SC location. This is an onsite role. This is a unique hybrid role designed for a highly motivated individual seeking a career in product management. The position blends critical day-to-day pricing analysis with a potential growth path into an Associate Product Manager. The primary responsibilities will be to provide the core pricing functions for our tantalum product lines. As you grow, you will apply your technical aptitude to help develop pricing strategies and streamline the pricing process for our high-reliability and customized product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and manage daily pricing responsibilities for assigned products and regions.
- Develop, review, and communicate in-depth analysis of pricing strategies and actions based on internal manufacturing data and external market trends.
- Build and maintain analytical tools, pricing files, and internal reports to drive growth and improve efficiency in pricing and quoting.
- Analyze and interpret customer drawings that detail product process, testing, packaging, and delivery requirements to ensure correct pricing and part setup.
- Work directly with product managers and sales to optimize global business strategies.
- Provide customer/market feedback to the Product Line Manager on customer needs (volume, ASP, value) to help optimize the product profits and losses.
Other Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of technical fundamentals of tantalum capacitors to assist with customer questions on product specifications and features.
- Identify and recommend improvements to workflows, product quality, and delivery based on feedback received through carrying out primary responsibilities.
- Assist product management with developing product roadmaps and marketing materials
- Assist product management with coordinating meetings between customers and internal technical teams (Process Engineering, Quality, New Product Development) to resolve issues and identify new opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering role or a related technical field, OR experience in a business role pertaining to price and market analysis
- Prior experience in the electronics component industry in either manufacturing, sales, or distribution is a plus
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including ability to perform data analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and data presentation
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and present market data and technical concepts proficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work across diverse, global teams with strong verbal and written communication skills.
