Provides operational control for Circulation Desk, adjoining classroom, and outside resources. Also provides individual instruction and coaching to supplement classroom learning for course work pronunciation and classroom presentations.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides operational control for Circulation Desk, adjoining classroom, and outside resources.
Manage materials and supplies and maintenance of Language & Speech Lab equipment.
Responsible for opening and closing Language & Speech Lab and maintaining a safe work environment.
Provide pronunciation tutoring, including articulation, stress, and intonation, with reference to General American English standard of correctness.
Provide presentation and elocution tutoring for classroom presentations, including professional dress standards, clear and concise message, engaging opening, strong visuals, effective storytelling, audience interaction, confident delivery, and memorable closing.
Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
Assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
