CYD Assistant Director - Seacliff

The YMCA is looking to hire an Assistant Child Care Director at our Seacliff YMCA. This position will be working with school age children (5-12 years of age) in a classroom setting.

This position is a FULL TIME working (9:45am-6:15pm) and assisting and planning the education curriculum Monday Friday.

Be responsible for staff supervision, daily schedule, enrollment and building parent and school relations. What you need to apply:

• Experience working with children ages 5-12 years of age, in an after school program setting.
• 12 college units with 6 units in Child Development, Education or related field & 6 units in Psychology, Sociology, Recreation, Physical Education, Art, Music, or related field. 3 units or 60 training hours in Administration required or must be enrolled in Administration class within 6 months of hire.
• Based on minimum education, experience would range between 1-4 years.

Education & Certification:

Licensing Option 1: Education & Certifications: EMSA First Aid & EMSA CPR Certification, 15 college units accepted by licensing (3 units in Child Development, and 3 units or 60 training hours in Administration, and 9 units or 180 training hours in Recreation, Elementary Education or related field) required.

Licensing Option 2: Education & Certifications: 2 year college degree in related field, EMSA First Aid & EMSA CPR Certification, 15 college units accepted by licensing (3 units in Child Development, and 3 units or 60 training hours in Administration, and 9 units or 180 training hours in Recreation, Elementary Education or related field) required.
