About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Trash Collection: Assist in the collection and disposal of campus waste, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
- Mowing: Operate mowers and other equipment to maintain the lawns and grassy areas of the campus.
- Planting: Help with the planting of flowers, shrubs, and other greenery to enhance the beauty of the college grounds.
- Watering: Ensure that plants and grass areas are watered appropriately to maintain their health and appearance.
- Athletic Field Support: Provide assistance with setting up, maintaining, and breaking down equipment for athletic events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled Student: Must be a current student at Wheaton College.
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Strong commitment to punctuality and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends, to accommodate class schedules and special events.
Hours and Schedule:
- Students must be able to work an average of 10 hours per week during the semester.
- Flexible hours are available to accommodate student class schedules.
- Opportunities for both part-time and full-time hours depending on availability and campus needs.
