Overview
JOB SUMMARY
Follows standardized recipes and diagrams accurately. Consistently prepares high quality food items in required amounts for the designated service area. Sets up and organizes work area for preparing current day's food items with all appropriate ingredients and equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: An individual who can read, write, and understand sufficient English to perform the requirements of the position.
Experience: An individual who has one year experience in quantity food production in a restaurant or institutional environment.
Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated competency regarding food preparation and service, and have working knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations. Ability to consistently use creativity in the performance of food preparation. Employee must demonstrate age specific competency regarding food preparation and modified diet restrictions.
License/Certifications: San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire/ transfer.
Equipment: Quantity food preparation equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential physical job requirements.
PAY RANGE
$21.00 - $29.12
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
