As a Senior Infrastruture Engineer, you will manage, improve, and secure our cloud based infrastructure by automating operations and configuration.  You will also work closely with delivery teams to engineer reliability, performance and scalability for our products and services 

Responsibilities

• Work on automating our operations and configuration
• Act as a mentor to other team members while working in a collaborative environment
• Engineer reliability and performance into our product and services
• Manage and secure our cloud-based infrastructure
• Manage/operate/evolve our Kubernetes infrastructure in order to provide the best deployment experience to engineering teams
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix issues in a distributed, containerized application environment
• Improve existing infrastructure, replacing existing systems with new implementations/designs when appropriate
• Recommend best tools and practices for devops, work with the team towards adoption
• Discuss best practices and policies with different stakeholders, be a “devops culture” evangelist
• Evolve our systems to handle new demands and scale
• Investigate problems and discover the right tools to solve them
• Incident response (on-call) and root cause analysis
• Be proactive, help on prioritization and backlog creation to be consumed by the whole team
• Work using AWS as your main cloud provider in order to offer solutions to attend organization’s and engineering teams demands

Requirements

• You have a history of driving optimisations and improvements to engineering productivity and experience 
• You have a passion for infrastructure as code and DRY principles
• You have strong networking knowledge
• You prefer using the linux command line and associated tools
• You are able to diagnose technical problems, debug code, and automate routine tasks

• You have good experience and knowledge in building large scale distributed systems, infrastructure and internal tooling
• You can demonstrate a history of self-sufficiency
• You take a security-centric approach and have participated or led infrastructure/security projects that involved organisation wide collaboration
• You have a strong technical grasp and have excellent judgment on task prioritizations.
• 5+ years of relevant production work experience in managing cloud infrastructure workloads and environments
• You have experience with Kubernetes, Linux administration, and observability of those platforms
• BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical infrastructure engineering experience

Skills we are looking for

• Strong proficiency with terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Cluster administration and maintenance
• GitOps using fluxCD and Helm charts
• Ability to debug errors in production and help engineering teams to proceed with fixes faster
• Understanding on how to use and operate monitoring tools
• Datadog (preffered) and/or Prometheus
• Strong knowledge with CI/CD tools
• Preference for GitHub actions
• Proficiency with AWS and how to deploy and operate cloud workloads
• VPC configuration
• RDS (postgres) administration
• Load Balancing and EC2
• Lambda functions
• CloudFront

Base Salary

The base salary range is between $130,000 - $150,
