Position Overview

Estimating Intern – Shaw Sports Turf Job Description:

Shaw Sports Turf is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimating Intern to assist our estimating team in preparing bids and cost estimates. This hourly position is ideal for students or individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in construction estimating and project planning.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in gathering and organizing project data, including material quantities and pricing.

· Support the estimating team by reviewing project documents and inputting information into spreadsheets.

· Help prepare and update cost estimates under supervision.

· Communicate with suppliers to collect basic pricing information.

· Assist in preparing and maintaining project records and documentation.

· Learn to interpret construction drawings and specifications with guidance.

· Perform administrative tasks to support the estimating team.

Qualifications:

· Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field (preferred but not required).

· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

· Good communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
