The Director of Logistics Account Management is responsible for developing, planning and executing the short-term and long-term strategies associated with commercial and logistical operations to support the reentry of Ingram Micro into the third-party logistics market. This leader will own building out the business requirements and capabilities required to scale growth relative to leveraging existing capabilities while establishing the roadmap of future state capabilities to support global growth objectives. This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities that align and leverage existing operational and systems capabilities while also defining growth plans as capabilities expand. Also responsible for evaluating and proposing solutions relative to inflight client/program opportunities, enhancing revenue and profit goals by delivering advanced capabilities, enhancing service offerings, and delivering continuous process improvements. Creates and leads an environment for superior customer satisfaction, ROI, process improvement, volume forecasting and drive client profitability.
Account Strategy and Execution:
- Participates in the development of global 3pl strategy and establishing annual revenue goals and forecasts
- Identifies and analyzes new growth opportunities and risk factors for current and new areas of business for the IML organization
- Provides formal presentations of IML services to current and prospective customers relative to account management processes, performance metrics, and opportunities to advance the client’s business through a strategic partnership with Ingram Micro.
- Ensures strategies developed remain effective and nimble by closely monitoring market dynamics and adjusts plans as necessary
- Leadership of client account program management team
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and execute account strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets, including proactive customer retention and expansion efforts.
- Evaluation of IM’s capabilities associated with client’s requests and needs and provides input and assessment of such capabilities.
- Oversee IM’s customer solution proposals, costing and pricing models and responding to RFP’s and end-to-end customer acquisition process.
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze customer experience metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management and clients.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication, responsiveness, and proactive issue resolution.
Operational Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational excellence, identify areas for process improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Reviewing and evaluating operational and managerial procedures which include conducting continuing appraisals of the system-wide techniques and preparing appropriate recommendations for required changes and for providing guidance and direction to peers and associates across the sales and advance logistic centers.
- Establish and monitor departmental budget necessary to support the sales plan accordingly
- Sets performance metrics, goals, and objectives of team members to ensure associates fully understand their roles and targets and are held accountable for meeting such objectives and goals
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, operations management, business administration (or equivalent)
- Master’s degree in supply chain management, or MBA preferred
Experience:
- 10-15 years of experience within matrixed, cross functional, global, high-volume distribution and/or 3PL organization(s); 8-10 years of proven experience in
