Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to join AECOM's Water/Wastewater team to be based remotely.

This position is expected to begin in May or June 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform engineering work on water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems.
  • Field data collection and work on engineering planning and design projects.
  • System modeling.
  • Data entry and analysis.
  • Permitting and alternative analysis.
  • Prepare technical memoranda and electronic deliverables.
  • Prepare reports with graphics, tables, and appendices.
  • Design and Develop plans and specifications.
  • Construction cost estimates for projects.
  • Provide engineering services during construction.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT Certificate.
  • Academic preferences include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; principles of water and wastewater treatment plants; and infrastructure design.
  • Experience developing engineering deliverables such as engineering reports, design drawings, technical specifications, permits, and other detailed engineering deliverables.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and experience working on water, wastewater, or resilience projects.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, Sharepoint, and scheduling software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player and have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and the project team.

Additional Information

  • We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States.  Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H1-B visa holders in the United States.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • The offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $55,029.50 - $75,665.57/yr.
