Position Purpose:

Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking an IT Intern - Desktop Support to assist with maintaining and supporting our technology infrastructure. This internship will last a minimum of three months, providing hands-on experience in IT asset management, troubleshooting, and customer support while adhering to Trinity Health’s security and compliance standards.
 

What You Will Do:

• Perform routine maintenance, including replacing computer hardware components.

• Build and configure computers using standard imaging software.

• Assist in tracking, inventorying, and disposing of IT assets.

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues while providing first-level end-user support.

• Manage work requests through a ticketing system and document activities.

• Support corporate and BYOD mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Androids.

• Participate in training sessions and assist with onboarding new hires.

• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices.

• May participate in after-hours support rotation.

• Possesses the ability to understand applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (with at least 6 completed credits).

• Familiarity with PC and mobile operating systems, network topologies, and troubleshooting required.

• Proven ability to diagnose and correct operating system and application problems.

• Experience using Microsoft O365.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and manage expectations and professionally resolve difficult conversations.

• Must be a self-starter that has an interest in constantly learning and accepting of developmental feedback.

• Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health
