Electronic Maintenance Technician

We are looking for hands-on, self-directed individuals who have a strong mechanical aptitude, an aptitude for electronics, and a knowledge of general facility electricity. The Electronics Maintenance Technician is an hourly position reporting to the Maintenance Engineer and will be responsible for equipment and facility maintenance on various shifts. This position lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems used in the manufacturing and assembly process with the aid of drawings, manuals, instructions, etc.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Reads and interprets board layouts, schematics and BOMs
- Tests Faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics to diagnose cause of the malfunction and repair.
- Adjusts, modifies and repairs electronic systems, works from sketches, layouts, and diagrams
- Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
- Maintains electric and electronic test equipment.
- Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
- Disassemble manual equipment and replace with new or repaired parts.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and simple machine tools to repair manufacturing equipment.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Performs any General Maintenance duties as needed.
- Attends annual hazardous waste training and D.O.T. general awareness training
For This Role, You Will Need:
- High school or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years maintenance experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good computer skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good math skills required
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to maintain records and reports.
- Forklift license (on-the-job training provided)
- Associate degree in maintenance/engineering or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Positive results-oriented attitude
