Summary:

Senior Plant Accountant will be primarily responsible for standard cost creation for Brakebush including the annual standard cost updates.  The position will support Production Operations by supporting the creation of weekly KPIs, production results, and analytics. Additionally, support period close and reporting and annual audits.

Essential Functions:
 

• Maintain Standards. This will require a yearly assessment of standards with production.

• Support sales with bids, during RFP season, for existing business and creating cost estimates on the development of new products.

• Weekly creation of KPI reports.

• Weekly creation of production activity reports and analytics.

• Period account reconciliations and period reporting support, which includes the creation of analysis and drafting comments on results.

• Execute month-end transaction and year-end standards update.

• Provide Month end Reports to Corporate Operational Accounting Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with ERP systems.

• Detailed Oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 Years’ experience in a manufacturing accounting or managerial accounting.

• Proficient in Excel, and Microsoft Office software

• SAP Experience ERP
   

Supervisory Responsibility:  None

 

Work Environment:  The work environment is an office environment with standard temperatures and

normal office noise levels. Up to 50% remote work available.
 

Physical Demands:  This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands.
 

Travel:  10-25% travel can be expected as necessary.
