About the role
Tygart Technology is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer with experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud applications and services. You will participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with product teams, and implement robust DevOps pipelines to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable deployment of applications. A current Secret Security Clearance is required. This is a remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying cloud-based applications using tools such as Bamboo.
- Manage cloud infrastructure in AWS (preferred) or Azure, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, Load Balancing, Auto-Scaling, and IAM.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Packer, and AWS CloudFormation.
- Set up monitoring and logging solutions including AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Ensure cloud security best practices are in place including encryption, MFA, network policies, and use of AWS Security Hub.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on DevOps practices and tools.
- Leverage Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for Agile tracking and documentation, ensuring performance optimization in AWS-hosted environments.
- Write and maintain application code in Java, Python, or Node.js, applying software development best practices.
- Drive automation and standardization across development and deployment processes.
- Current Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience configuring and maintaining Atlassian tools on AWS infrastructure.
- Experience in Agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe frameworks.
- Proficient in AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, API Gateway, etc.
- Strong DevOps and automation experience with tools like Bamboo, Ansible, Packer.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js.
- Solid grasp of cloud security principles, networking, and encryption.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for proactive issue identification.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
- Experience working with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
