Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Chemist to join our R&D team and assist in formulating skincare and haircare products. In this role, you will make lab batches, test and troubleshoot formulas and research and request raw materials. You’ll also assist with lab equipment calibration, prepare required paperwork, and support the scale-up and manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & troubleshoot lab batches with supervision of senior staff
• Document detailed observations based on experiments
• Test skin & hair care products
• Research and request raw materials
• Assist in scale up and production manufacturing
• Assist team members as needed
• Attend cosmetic seminars and meetings
• Calibrate lab equipment as needed
• Perform other activities as required

Requirements

• 0-3 years of formulation experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• Knowledge of basic science laboratory equipment
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong computer skills
• Attention to detail and project management skills
• Ability to work in team environment and independently
