Logistics Specialist (Secret Clearance)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have<br />
at least three years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. This role is responsible<br />
for coordinating and optimizing transportation, inventory management, and distribution processes to ensure<br />
timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.<br />

<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br />
 Oversee and coordinate all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics operations, including<br />
transportation, warehousing, and inventory control<br />
 Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and carriers to ensure efficient and cost-<br />
effective supply chain solutions<br />
 Monitor shipments and deliveries to ensure on-time performance and resolve any issues that may arise<br />
 Analyze logistical data and generate reports to improve efficiency and reduce costs<br />
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain strategies and improve overall<br />
operational efficiency<br />
 Utilize logistics software and tools to track shipments, analyze performance metrics, and streamline<br />
processes<br />
 Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and logistics transactions<br />
 Identify areas for improvement in logistics and supply chain processes and recommend solutions<br />
 Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulations regarding shipping and logistics<br />
<br />
<strong>Requirements:</strong><br />
 Report on-site to Springfield, VA every day<br />
 Secret clearance<br />
 5-10 years of logistics experience<br />
 Experience with DoD required forms and processes (i.e. DD Form 250, UID tags, etc.)<br />
 Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously<br />
 Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, including inventory management and<br />
transportation coordination<br />
 Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment<br />
 Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights to optimize logistics operations<br />
 Knowledge of best practices in warehouse logistics and automation<br />
 Experience developing contingency plans for supply chain disruptions<br />
 Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) is a plus<br />
 Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed<br />
 Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting in a warehouse environment
