Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for an Assistant Manager of Operations for our team in Connecticut. 

This is a remote role with a required commute to our office in West Hartford, CT once a month.

Department & Position Overview: 

Adult Family Living (AFL) is a caregiving arrangement in which a patient lives with a principal caregiver who provides daily support based on the patient's daily care needs. The goal of this service is to provide necessary care while fostering and emphasizing the patient’s independence in a home environment that will provide them with a range of care options as their needs evolve. The service is designed to provide options for alternative long-term care to persons who meet nursing facility-level care needs, while preserving the dignity, self-respect, and privacy of the patient. 

The Assistant Manager will be a vital part of our operations in Connecticut. As a new service provider in Connecticut, we are looking for someone to assist in the critical initial growth of our office. This person will work hand in hand with the Manager of Operations to develop and implement processes designed to provide a seamless customer service experience for the Participants, Caregivers, and other stakeholders. 

Every Day You Will:

  • Assist the Manager of Operations in planning, organizing, and coordinating various activities within the organization. This may include overseeing staff, managing schedules, and implementing company policies. 
  • Serve as SME to provide support to clients and caregivers in their road to care and in resolving issues. 
  • Ensure efficient day-to-day operations by analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing workflows, processes, and procedures. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity. 
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members. 
  • Build a positive work environment and culture consistent with FreedomCare core values: Here for You, Positive, Own It, Do the Right Thing 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Provide input to the manager for strategic decision-making. 
  • Partner with key organizational leaders and external partners/organizations to support AFL initiatives. 
  • Monitor KPIs reported through CRM Dashboards to ensure established response and activity timeframes are met. 
  • Work closely with Manager of Operations in developing and documenting best practices, training material, and policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are followed for operations functions. 

Ideal Candidate Will Possess/Be:

  • BA/BS degree; 5+ years of relevant experience considered. 
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite). 
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 
  • Organizational and multitasking skills. 
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats; helping out where needed 
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills 
  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce is a plus) 
  • Self-motivated 
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced start up environment
