About the role
Overview
The Director, Human Resources will be responsible for providing HR support to our Waltham, MA headquarters and Bridgewater, NJ facilities. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that will provide the opportunity to collaborate and act as a trusted, strategic partner to the site leadership teams by providing proactive HR leadership, strategic counsel and consultative services to the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR solutions support, process knowledge advice and consultation to site leaders
- Partner with site leadership, HR and other key stakeholders as appropriate to shape culture and drive employee engagement
- Provide HR leadership in the areas of organizational assessments, succession planning, organizational structure and workforce planning in order to strengthen organizational capabilities
- Act as a catalyst for change, guide and direct organizational design, development and change management solutions
- Implement large scale initiatives (roll out annual programs, new programs/policies, etc.)
- Collaborate with Center of Excellence partners to execute and implement HR initiatives
- Translate business plans into critical HR actions, programs and initiatives
- Participate in HR continuous improvement projects and initiatives
- Utilize data to solve complex business issues and provide recommendations to leaders
- Coach management team on leadership and HR issues including application of HR policies and processes
- Conduct employee relations investigations and bring to resolution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 8+ years in Human Resources (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Experience working in a multi-location, global, matrix’d organization
- Ability to innovate and willing to challenge the status quo
- Proven experience leading and supporting large scale change initiatives
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- Proven analytical capabilities
- M&A experience a plus
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, multi-task and follow up on projects and issues
- Proven project and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-motivated and bias for action
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs
