Job Details:
Summary: This position provides administrative support by coordinating and communicating with Tyson management and outside contacts. Responsibilities include assisting with office procedures, preparing documentation and spreadsheets, compiling data for reports, prioritizing incoming mail, screening phone calls, and handling routine correspondence.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences, budgets, and department activities.
- Support the monthly invoicing process for all projects using the Budget to Actuals Access database.
- Organize and prioritize large volumes of information and calls.
- Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff such as CEOs, presidents, senior vice presidents, etc.
- Handle confidential routine and non-routine information and explain policies when necessary.
- Work independently and within a team on special projects, both nonrecurring and ongoing.
- Act as project manager for special projects, including planning, coordinating presentations, disseminating information, organizing work, and meeting deadlines.
- Type and design general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, and business plans.
- Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, ensuring accuracy and clarity of final copy.
- Establish and maintain confidential files and documentation.
- Assist with calculating and submitting expense reports.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
Experience: 5 plus years of related experience and/or training in a business environment, preferably corporate.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Access and Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: High level of discretion and confidentiality, ability to work independently under general instructions and in a timely manner, detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, sound judgment, flexibility, initiative, and commitment. Knowledge of internal policies and the ability to build and maintain relationships are highly desirable.

Travel: Some travel may be required.
