The Role

The Kyndryl Associate Director, Thought Leadership is a member of the Corporate Affairs discipline, serving as a trusted and experienced writer and editor on the Thought Leadership Center of Excellence. In this capacity, this individual will support the development of content that provides shape and context to Kyndryl’s voice in the broader market. Primarily, this involves crafting cogent and compelling corporate narratives and position papers that reflect Kyndryl’s point of view on critical and emerging topics, including the areas impacted by the rise in enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence, skilling and talent retention in an increasingly digitized world, the impact of policy on the tech environment, the rise of quantum computing, other transformative technologies, and much more. Altogether, this work helps build a bank of knowledge that people throughout the company use to effectively articulate Kyndryl’s point of view. Reporting to the Director of Thought Leadership, this role will be pivotal in shaping our voice and advancing Kyndryl’s position as an industry leader.
 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Narrative Development: Collaborate with the Director of Thought Leadership to craft high-impact corporate narratives that articulate the company’s perspective on strategic issues and technological innovations.

  • Research and Insights: Work closely with subject matter experts and business leaders to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging, and strategic messaging.

  • Content Strategy: Develop frameworks and key messages that inform content creation across channels, including reports, owned media articles, and earned opportunities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, PR, and Kyndryl Consult to ensure narrative consistency across all external communications.

  • Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry developments and emerging technologies to proactively identify narrative opportunities.

Required Skills, Experience and Circumstances:

  • 10+ years of journalistic background or experience, or editorial development of thought leadership in a similar industry.

  • Exceptional editing skills, with a knack for synthesizing complex ideas.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

  • A strategic mindset and the ability to align narratives with corporate goals and market trends.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $116,760 to $221,880 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.  For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
