Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the HVACR Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager will oversee the planning, maintenance and management of all Cambridge based HVACR systems in Draper owned and occupied facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise a team of HVACR technicians and ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVACR systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance and repair work
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and inspection activities.
- Train and mentor HVACR technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in the preparation of design criteria for facilities systems and subsystems.
- Review project scope and requirements to determine if work is best done in house or contracted.
- Identify, select, and manage qualified contractors and consultants as needed.
- Provide technical assistance regarding operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
- Perform a variety of other duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Refrigeration license preferred; ten years of commercial HVACR maintenance experience required.
- Four years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience with Niagara software and Trend Controls operating system is preferred.
- Experience with Continuum software and Andover Controls operating system is preferred.
- Detailed understanding of Service Now maintenance management system is preferred.
- Knowledge of facilities management techniques and practices.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and activities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, lift and carry 25 lbs., and operate heavy equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions include working inside and around machines with moving parts and objects, radiant and electrical energy, working closely with others, working alone, working irregular hours and at times traveling to other buildings.
