Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is seeking a Project Engineer - Aeronautical Systems Integration & Test (ASIT) Test Capability Integrator to join our team, in Berkeley, Missouri. This position will be an ASIT leadership role supporting the development and integration of test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing and evaluation of system performance in simulation lab environments. This role will enable the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization and our ASIT Capability to continue advancement its of VMS technologies in support of the Air Dominance portfolio (MQ-25, F-15, F/A-18, T-7A and others).

This role will represent the ASIT team in interactions with the various programs supported – as well as supporting internal development efforts. Familiarity with estimating, schedules, budgets, risk management, and project planning is vital to success in this role. Diplomacy also is essential as we need to maintain honest, positive, and supportive relationships with our business partners – and within our team. The role will also inform BT&E Test Program Management on the status of work with the programs.

This role also has a unique opportunity: as a lead project engineer, the successful candidate will partner with our team leaders (manager and technical) as a pathfinder for future project engineers. The role will require someone who can look at other project engineering styles and find a suitable path for both interacting with programs and management. The role will create common templates and instructions to guide future project engineers.

The candidate should enjoy working collaboratively with others, have a commitment to customer satisfaction and process improvement, and be successful working in a multi-program environment. They will support the development of solutions to a wide range of complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry

  • Assist the BT&E Test Program Manager in executing cost, technical and schedule management

  • Serve as a project leader responsible for establishing and overseeing cost and schedule performance baselines

  • Lead key elements of the Enterprise Standard Gated Process (e.g. System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, and Critical Design Review)

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case

  • Drive daily execution of team-based project tasks to ensure technical, cost and schedules are met

  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.

  • Create templates and instructions to support future project engineering

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ years of experience within project leadership including estimating, planning, implementing and executing program plans

  • 3+ years of experience with risk, issue and opportunity management principles and tools, and the ability to apply them in various situations

  • 3+ years of experience in complex technical product development

  • 1+ years of experience working on the development and integration of a complex system (technical and programmatic)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of Cost Account Management (CAM)/Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

  • 5+ years of direct project mana
