About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled ServiceNow Platform Engineer to be the cornerstone of our ServiceNow implementation. As the primary dedicated ServiceNow resource, you will be responsible for both developing and administering our ServiceNow instance, ensuring its optimal performance and alignment with our business needs. A strong preference for leveraging out-of-the-box ServiceNow functionality is paramount, with custom development considered only when absolutely necessary. This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working independently, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and is eager to contribute to all aspects of our ServiceNow journey.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical resource for the ServiceNow platform, encompassing both development and administration tasks.
- Implement and configure ServiceNow modules based on business requirements, prioritizing out-of-the-box solutions.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and other configurations as needed (with a strong emphasis on minimizing custom code).
- Perform system administration tasks including user and group management, security configuration, data management, and instance monitoring.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and other departments to gather requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
- Participate in the planning and execution of ServiceNow upgrades and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain platform documentation, including configuration guides and process workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow issues, providing timely and effective support to end-users.
