The Staff Accountant Position Sunnova Energy is searching for Staff Accountant to be responsible for various areas within inventory, Operation and Maintenance (O&M), and potentially other accounting areas.  Reporting to the Accounting Senior/Supervisor, this individual will also be responsible for accounting functions such as month-end and quarterly close tasks, account reconciliations, journal entries, supporting schedules, and roll forwards. Staff Accountant Responsibilities ·       Performs all related accounting functions required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP and company policy for inventory, O&M, and other areas·       Prepares supporting schedules for financial statements and tax reporting·       Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned accounts ·       Prepares, reviews, and clearly communicates various analyses and other information to members of management, internal and external auditors·       Prepares reports to determine amounts due from dealers and other business partners·       Prepare and record month end journal entries as needed·       Create or update the documentation around the process·       Other Accounting/AD Hoc duties as necessary Minimum Requirements·       Bachelor’s degree with an accounting or business administration concentration ·       1 year of accounting experience·       Highly organized and able to prioritize. Preferred Qualifications·       Public accounting experience is a plus·       Experience in renewable energy space is a plus·       Experience with Salesforce and FinancialForce is a plus Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities·       Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting·       Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel·Ability to analyze and interpret large quantities of data.·       Extreme attention to detail is necessary.·       Ability to manage multiple projects while working under pressure and time constraints.·       Experience working with multiple legal entities and intercompany transactions·       Strong verbal and written communication skills·       Self-motivated and good team player, able to work both independently and in a team-based environment. ·       Experience with a small to medium-sized company that grew rapidly is preferred·       CPA is preferred Working Conditions·       Open-office environment·       Overtime is required Physical Requirements·       Extended periods of time working at computer workstation
