Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearanceAbout the Position:We are seeking a talented and experienced Database Developer to join our team in Fairfax, VA. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely. The position is a six-month contract with the potential for hire upon successful completion. Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Key Responsibilities:Create and modify SQL scripts, database triggers, and embedded programs for database objects.Develop, maintain, and optimize database systems to ensure high performance and reliability.Collaborate with development teams to integrate database components with application systems.Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring data integrity and security.Participate in database design and architecture discussions to support business needs.
Required Skills and Experience:A minimum of five (5) years of experience in creating and modifying SQL scripts, database triggers, and embedded programs for database objects.Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote work.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:Experience with database design and optimization.Knowledge of database security practices.Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of relevant database development experience.U.S. Citizenship is required due to legal contract obligations.Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
