Job Description

We are seeking a talented early-career Agile Technical Program Manager with a passion for improving the developer experience. In this role you will lead cross-functional projects for our engineering experience team as well as additional engineering teams across O&T. Our team is focused on upscaling how we build software across the organization and has an opportunity to deliver real impact for both our team and company. In this role, you will manage complex technical projects, programs, and tool development from the planning phase through delivery and support. The right person for this role is not only passionate about "actions over words" but wants to discover what engineering teams need to do the best work of their lives and innovate to bring it to them. The role is fully remote within the United States.

The right candidate should be focused defining and documenting feature requirements, proactively removing impediments from the group, understanding the importance of clear communication, and can provide relevant reporting at both the team and executive level. Your ability to manage labor capacity and provide detailed and accurate software estimation is highly desired. In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Manage delivery of large, high-impact programs and tools aimed at improving operational efficiencies and experiences for our engineering teams.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to develop, track, and communicate technical product requirements
  • Ensure all technical projects are appropriately tracked in JIRA and progressing with complete visibility of all progress, dependencies, risks, opportunities, etc.
  • Create, document, operationalize, and iterate on technical program management processes
  • Act like an owner. Take initiative over found opportunities within our org and lead solution architecture
  • Execute and guide team through existing agile methodologies and the SDLC
  • Communicate technical dependencies and challenges. Evaluate and collaborate with Engineering Leadership to implement technical solutions. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, IT/IS Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience required   
  • 2-3 years' experience with leading projects in highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary development teams
  • Talented facilitator who can skillfully translate product requirements into an estimated project plan and roadmap
  • Demonstrated experience in agile technical project management and scrum development ceremonies/practices
  • Proven ability to influence seniors and peers without direct authority; experience leading cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented leader who actively works to remove barriers to achieving results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical teams
  • Comfortable working with all levels of the organization including senior executives

Qualifications

  • Product or related experience in the software development lifecycle, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps and releases
  • Experience working in Atlassian tool suites (JIRA and Confluence)
  • Experience working in PowerBI
  • Experience working with development teams to break down large bodies of work to continually deliver incremental value
  • Demonstrated ability to define success metrics and evaluate for areas of product improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team
