Operating at the forefront of defence and security, aerospace and space, cybersecurity and digital identity, we’re driven by a mission to build a future we can all trust.

In Romania, we are advancing innovation through software engineering, research and development, delivering solutions in key markets in which Thales Group operates. Our engineers design, develop and integrate solutions that impact global industries – from fully operational systems and subsystems for naval warfare and maritime security operations, to air traffic management systems, satellite-based solutions, tactical indoor simulations, identity and biometric technologies and more.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and rigorous IVVQ & Test Automation Engineer to join our CortAIx Factory team. The successful candidate will participate in the integration and verification of solutions provided by our CortAIx Factory tribe, with a strong emphasis on manual testing, while also contributing to automation. • Actively share knowledge with team members, contributing to continuous improvement of IVV processes and test strategies.

  • Act as a IVVQ Manager when needed having wider cross-functional teams to enhance current practices and ensure alignment with broader verification and validation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • At least 2–3 years of professional experience in software/system testing, with a strong preference for candidates skilled in manual testing and willing to expand into automation.

  • Proficiency with QA reporting and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, Wiki, etc.

  • Working understanding of software development practices, ideally with hands-on experience in Python scripting and source control (Git).

  • Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Docker) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of web technologies and server/client architectures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively in international, multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving in complex environments.

  • High attention to detail, strong written communication, and the ability to clearly document and prioritize issues.

  • Experience implementing QA process improvements and ensuring quality throughout the software development process.

  • Agile mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge capitalization.

  • Fluent English required;
