Fast Growing Food Production Company seeks experienced Plant Manager
The Food Production Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process within a food production facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality output. This role is critical in driving operational excellence by managing production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards. The manager will lead a diverse team, foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability while minimize waste. They will also be responsible for adapting processes and strategies in response to evolving organizational needs and market demands. Ultimately, the Plant Manager will ensure that production goals are met on time and within budget, contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.
Job Responsibilities
Production Management- Oversees production, maintenance, office staff, QA and overall functions of the facilities. Adapt production plans and processes to meet changing organizational priorities and market conditions. Take charge of resolving operational issues promptly to maintain continuous production flow and meet delivery deadlines
Quality Control -Supervise daily production operations to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
Operational efficiency and improvement -Optimizing production to meet output goals, Lead staff through process improvements implementation.
Budgeting and cost control - Implement and monitor waste reduction initiatives to minimize waste and improve cost-effectiveness.
Maintenance & Equipment - Optimizing Production through machinery maintenance and managing Budgets.
Staff Leadership and Development - Coach and develop team members to enhance their skills, performance, and career growth.
Qualifications- Minimum of 8 years experience as a plant manager or in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of supervising production teams and managing plant operations.
- Familiarity with industry specific Machinery, automated systems and production software.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Demonstrated ability to reduce waste and improve production efficiency.
- Bi-lingual language including Spanish and/or Vietnamese is preferred
- Experience in a USDA environment is ideal
- Strong leadership, organization, customer service, and communication skill
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to focus on multiple issues simultaneously
- Ability to work and make decisions independently
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with automated production systems and modern manufacturing technologies.
- Advanced leadership training or coaching certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems used in production planning and inventory management.
- Previous experience managing a multi-shift production environment.
