JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role will perform Quality Assurance & Quality Control Activities in the Renewal by Andersen (RbA) Cottage Grove, MN facility. The applicant will work on the Quality Team in new equipment integration, production readiness, process improvement, documentation control, training of Quality Auditors/Inspectors, using standards & tools to ensure quality products are being delivered to our customers, strengthening the Andersen Brand of an industry leader in product quality.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate on the Advanced Product Quality Planning under guidance of Quality Engineers, in new technologies, and processes.
Participate in a cross-functional Tier structure with Quality responsibility for metrics & actions.
Work closely with Production Associates and Quality Engineers to support manufacturing needs.
Assist in Statistical Process Control methods to enable in-control production.
Coordinate test method programing, calibration and maintenance (equipment calibration, communicate revisions, perform capability studies as needed).
Perform Risk Based Thinking assessment and Process Approach Audits of production lines.
80%+ of time spent in production areas.
SKILLS:
Basic knowledge of software/quality/lean manufacturing, quality systems, statistical process control, process capability analysis.
Ability to interpret & apply Window & Door Quality specifications, including visual/aesthetic standards.
Strong communication skills, including ability to summarize data and findings, present results.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Quality Management Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 or more years of Quality/Manufacturing experience, preferably in window and door industry.
PAY RANGE:
