Job Description
Positions available at NBCUniversal Media, LLC (1221 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020) for Principal, Data Science Engineer with the following job duties:
- As a member of the AdSmart Product Engineering Team, be directly responsible for data science engineering as part of building out the necessary platform and products for NBCUniversal’s Audience Studio.
- NBCUniversal’s audience management products will enable NBCUniversal to better understand its brand’s audiences such as NBC News, Bravo, The Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, and USA Network as well as audiences that cross brands.
- Serve as a principal data scientist for AdSmart data products.
- Participate in, and execute, a 1236 month product roadmap with input from the delivery team, and stakeholders.
- Develop and code the data science services that is core to AdSmart, under the leadership and direction of the VP Architecture.
- Analyze and report results and adjust the overall engineering strategy accordingly with engineering leadership.
- Apply data science theory effectively to advertising & audience data.
- Position is fully remote and may be performed from anywhere in the United States.
Qualifications
*Basic Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Computer Science or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in the job offered or at least 5 years of experience in software development.
- Stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience in the following: data structures and algorithms; R, Python, or Scala; using basic statistical concepts; forecasting, numerical optimization, and natural language processing; deep learning or machine learning techniques; relational or non-relational database design (SQL); and big data and real-time technologies.
- Alternatively, will accept a candidate with a Master’s degree and 2 years of stated experience.
We are offering a salary range of $180,000 per year to $220,000 per year, depending upon qualifications.
