Customer Sales & Service Representative

Power Systems, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative. The position’s primary responsibilities are to help customers get the parts they need, interacting extensively with them to clarify their needs, research and recommend parts, provide quotes, and take orders. You will provide sales support and service to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), industrial companies, engineering firms, heavy equipment customers, etc. where fluid power is utilized.

Responsibilities:

• Processing customer orders, price, and delivery inquiries
• Basic quoting of products and some quoting on hydraulic systems
• Participating in or handling associated servicing and clerical reporting activities
• Taking orders by phone, mail, or at the counter
• Checking availability of stock, back order status, vendor schedules, and shipping dates
• Quoting prices and writing and processing orders. Support the outside sales team in projects and research

Requirements:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as with a team.
• Basic knowledge of profit formulas
• Must have knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
