Responsibilities

The Employer Branding (EB) team
Help potential candidates understand who we are as an employer - either ByteDance or any of its brands;
Partner with our internal stakeholders to move candidates through the talent funnel, from awareness to interest, and application through hire;
And, to maintain a pulse on candidate satisfaction and champion employee experiences.

Responsibilities
- Lead the creative and strategic development of the company’s global employer brand, ensuring our mission, vision, values, and talent philosophy are communicated clearly, consistently, and compellingly to external audiences;
- Identify opportunities and challenges related to managing multiple employer brands across business lines and regions, develop integrated creative strategies to unify storytelling and address differentiation;
- Oversee the development of high-impact creative campaigns and content strategies that amplify our company culture, leadership principles, and employee experience — aligned with global brand positioning;
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (including HR, PR, marketing, and business leaders) to surface compelling narratives and turn business or employee stories into cohesive, high-quality creative deliverables;
- Lead and guide a team to conceptualize, create, and deliver multi-format content (e.g., video, social, digital, experiential) tailored to specific audiences, platforms, and regions;
- Ensure all creative output is on-brand, timely, and aligned with business and talent goals, managing both in-house resources and external agency partners where necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in creative leadership roles within B2C industries, preferably in technology or internet sectors, with a mix of agency, studio, and in-house experience;
- Strong portfolio showcasing professional video, brand storytelling, or campaign work, ideally with experience in documentary-style or human-centered storytelling. Strong storytelling instincts, editorial judgment, and a visual eye, with sensitivity to different audiences and cultural nuances;
- Proficient in creative tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro). - A portfolio of relevant work is required as part of the application;
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills — able to balance creative vision with business goals in a fast-paced environment. Deep understanding of employer branding, organizational culture, and talent communications; capable of translating abstract concepts into relatable and emotionally resonant content;
- Proven success leading creative teams or managing multiple projects across global markets with strong stakeholder engagement and delivery excellence;
- Highly self-motivated, resourceful, adaptable to change, and driven by curiosity and impact;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; multilingual skills are a plus, to support effective collaboration with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Film Production, Creative Media, or related fields;
- Familiarity with employer branding metrics and how creative content drives perception, engagement, and conversion;
- Experience in integrated campaign development across paid, earned, and owned channels;
- Exposure to employee experience, talent acquisition, or internal communications strategies;
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones and cultures in a matrixed global environment.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $208000 - $432000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
