Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

  • Directly manage, mentor and develop 3–5 designers 
  • Drive the UX vision and execution of a platform that produces a product line to revolutionize workplace productivity and analytics solutions for some of the largest companies in the world 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, user research, engineering and content from strategic definition, planning, architecture, through tactical execution of the product roadmaps 
  • Distill complex problems into clear goals and requirements for the design and research team 
  • Understand the company's Design Systems, encourage their application, and contribute to their further development and maintenance. 
  • Drive the growth of user-centric, collaborative culture across the Business Unit  
  • Evangelize design strategy and product vision across the global, distributed design teams 
  • Assist in conducting user needs assessment, task analysis and develop user profiles; identify key tasks for user research, competitive analysis and user testing, develop usability plans. 
  • Develop high-level task flow content and then use storyboards and other design documents to communicate concepts and vision to others. 
  • Lead your team through rapid iterations of theoretical task scenarios, navigation map, flow, and state-transition diagrams to document design decisions. 
  • Travel up to 20% of the year  

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience managing people and/or leading design teams 
  • 7+ years of experience in UX Design and/or Interaction Design field  
  • Passion to grow and mentor people 
  • Strong skills in Information Architecture 
  • Ability to understand and distill complex problems into clean solutions 
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving skills to contribute within a multi-functional and multi-disciplined team 
  • Obsessed with the relentless pursuit of UX perfection working inside an iterative and agile development environment 
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative, good sense of humor, and a “make it work” ethos 
  • Experience in creating content and/or designing with compliance to WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA guidelines is a plus 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in visual design, interaction design, human interaction sociology, psychology, or related disciplines.  
  • Experience working in an agile or incremental manner 
  • Experience working with tools such as Figma, Miro, or Abstract
