Senior Plant Buyer

ISRI, a well-established company in the automotive industry, is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Plant Buyer to join our team. As a Senior Plant Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services needed for our manufacturing operations. Your expertise and strategic mindset will contribute to our company's success by optimizing our supply chain and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, capability, and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and favorable terms and conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate material and service needs.
• Review and analyze purchase requisitions, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Lead price negotiations and conduct regular supplier performance evaluations.
• Monitor and report key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry best practices, and technological advancements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior procurement team members.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Finance and Operations, to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with a focus on the automotive industry preferred.
• Proven track record of successful supplier management, negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements in the automotive industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, SAP, and ERP systems are a must.
• Professional certification, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), is a plus.
