Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Mesquite, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding promptly to any incidents that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be alert and ready to act while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or incidents within the government facility.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or the public while upholding site-specific policies.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents at the location.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • An armed guard card or license is required as specified by state and/or local regulations.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
