Job Description
Position Summary: Join us as the Senior HR Generalist, spearheading essential operations, shaping our future through talent acquisition, employee engagement, benefits administration, and performance management. Responsibilities
- Oversees talent acquisition process through SmartRecruiters, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of qualified job applicants, and partners with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies for new positions.
- Administers the performance management system through 15Five, including leading the review process, and creates learning and development opportunities and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Provides support for staff on utilizing benefits, accessing accommodations and leave programs, and wellness programs.
- Manages the internal promotion and hiring process for employees by maintaining the Career Paths and Competencies across the organization and coordinates with managers to support promotions and cross-departmental transitions.
- Provides support and guidance when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; with the support of the COO, may be required to perform routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Participates in and provides guidance related to employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, disputes, and investigations.
- Partners with the COO and leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Participates in Culture and employee recognition programs.
- Partners with DEI Team to create, implement and track equitable and inclusive HR policies.
Qualifications
- At least three years of human resource experience, preferably in a small department or non-profit organization.
- Experience with applicant tracking software and HR information systems.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment regulations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- HR Certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred.
Additional Information
Salary & Benefits: $68,000/annual, Full-Time, 40 hours/week. Exempt.
