What will you be doing?
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the global revenue cycle, including revenue recognition and reporting, billing, collections, cash application, and contract review, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and management review.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce global revenue recognition policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX requirements.
- Review customer contracts and commercial agreements to ensure revenue is recognized appropriately under ASC 606, identifying and resolving complex revenue recognition matters.
- Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance for complex and non-routine revenue transactions, including deferred revenue, direct costs, revenue sharing arrangements, barter transactions, and multi-element deliverables.
- Lead process improvement initiatives across global revenue operations, driving standardization, scalability, automation, and harmonization of revenue-related processes, controls, and reporting practices.
- Partner closely with IT and business stakeholders to implement and enhance systems, improve data quality, and develop scalable solutions that support efficient revenue operations and financial reporting.
- Leverage Dynamics CRM, NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management, and other enabling technologies to drive automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the revenue lifecycle.
- Drive transformation initiatives through the development of KPIs, analytics, and reporting that provide actionable insights into revenue performance, trends, variances, and operational efficiency.
- Partner across Finance, Commercial, Sales Operations, Legal, and IT to improve Order-to-Cash processes, drive operational improvements, and support business growth.
- Liaise with Commercial, FP&A, Legal, and Operations teams to understand contractual arrangements, ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment, and support new products, offerings, and go-to-market strategies.
- Work closely with the Company's external auditors on revenue recognition, related controls, and audit requirements, ensuring timely and effective support throughout the audit process.
